I'm a Fullstack Developer living in Atlanta, Georgia, but I'm originally from Tampa, Florida. I graduated from Vanderbilt University in the Spring of 2018 with a double major in History and Political Science. While I had planned on attending law school upon graduating, I had a late change of heart that left me searching for a new, satisfying, career path. After hitting the reset button on my future, I began exploring my interests and how I could make a career out of something that interested me.
It didn't take me long to turn to my lifelong passion for computers and technology. I regularly built personal-use PCs, and considered myself fairly tech-savvy. Armed with this (very limited) experience, I began networking with people in the tech field to find where I might fit. Hearing from the experiences of others, I warmed to the prospect of being a Software Developer.
To begin my journey in this field, I knew I had to retool my skillset. I began with pursuing a CompTIA A+ certification to give myself some grounding in Computer Science. After passing my exam, I started to learn programming through self-study. I knew that, in the right environment, I could ramp up my preparation and accelerate my growth. With this in mind, I enrolled in DigitalCrafts' sixteen-week immersive program, a top-rated coding bootcamp in Atlanta that covers Fullstack Development.
I quickly discovered a passion for coding and fell in love with learning and mastering each language's unique internal logic. My story has just begun, and I'm so excited to continure down this ever-evolving path.
